Cebiche - prawn

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of fresh prawns
  • 1 pound of red onions, finely sliced and marinated in the juice of 4 lemons
  • 4 lemons
  • 2 oranges, juice
  • 2 spoons of tomato Ketchup
  • ¼ spoon chili
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1/4 spoon parsley
  • ¼ coriander
  • 1 liter of boiling water
  • salt and pepper

Preparation:

Wash and clean prawns and put into bowl. Add prawns to boiling water and cook for 10 minutes. Take out the prawns from water to cool. Do not through the water away.

Put into bowl the red onions and the prawns, leave for 15 minutes. Add some of the water where the prawns where cooked with the tomato Ketchup just enough to cover the prawns. Add the chili and the oil and mix. Add the orange juice, parsley and coriander and season with salt and pepper.

Serve cold with popcorn.

Note: cebiche can be made of shrimps, seafood, fish, palm hearts and mushrooms, just replace the same amount in the recipe.
