The Museo de la Cultura Ecuatoriana on Calle Sucre has collections of local art. The Museo y Monasterio de la Concepcion, close by, at Calle Hermano Miguel has a silver nativity scene and various religious arts. Also on Calle Sucre you will find the Museo de Arte Moderno that has on display contemporary art exhibitions. The Museo Municipal Remigio Crespo Toral on Calle Larga y Borrero contains pre-Hispanic ceramics, gold pieces, and colonial religious sculptures, paintings, and furniture.
