Onion and bacon tart |
Ingredients
Preparation In a large frying pan melt the butter and fry the white onions with salt (low heat) until they are transparent; add the garlic and the bacon, season with salt and pepper and fry for 4 minutes. Take the mixture off the heat and allow to cool. In a bowl beat the eggs with the milk and cream and season with salt and pepper. Add the above mixture that has been cooled down to the bowl and put in the mozzarella cheese and half the breadcrumbs. Add salt and pepper if necessary. Butter an oven pan and pour in the mixture. Sprinkle the rest of the breadcrumbs over the pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes in a 200C oven or until cooked. It can be served hot or cold. |
