Filling
Preparation Mix the butter, salt and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs, one at the time, mixing well after each one. Next add the corn flour and mix well. Lastly add the cheese. In a separate bowl mix all the ingredients of the filling evenly. Take one Archira leaf at a time and add a table spoon of the mixture and add small portions of the filling in the center. Fold all four edges inwards to avoid spilling. Put each one into the “tamaleta” (a special saucepan used to cook humitas a sort of bain-marie pot) with the open part upwards. Vapor cook for 30 minutes. |
